The Iguazu Falls and the Yacutinga Refuge 5 days
Season: Available all year round
The Iguazú National Park is in the extreme North of the Provence of Misiones, which is a region of large rivers, red, heavy soil, a sub-tropical climate and fundamentally of deep, rich green forests, with giant century old trees. It’s located on the border of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay and has pristine areas with sub-tropical forests, with more than 2,000 species of vascular plants identified and more than 400 species of birds, mammels, and reptiles. The Yacutinga Lodge and its Wildlife Refuge are located above the Upper Iguazú River in the extreme Northeast of Argentina only 60 kms from the Iguazú Falls. Given that the Yacutinga Wildlilfe Refuge is surrounded by more than 6 kms of coast above the Upper Iguazú River, that last part of the arrival trip to the Yacutinga Lodge must be done by boat. Once at the place, one is surrounded by the sounds and the life of the Mision Forest. This is why the Yacutinga Lodge has been designed to give the best comfort possible in the middle of the Mision Forest.

Yacutinga Lodge
IguazuRiver in the extreme north of Argentina, only 60 kms from the Iguazu Falls. This place provides protection for various species in danger of extinction, such as the South American Jaguar, the Tapir, the Ocelot and some birds in serious danger of extinction.
There is an impacting presence of various types of vegetation that sustain the life of a large variety of multicolored birds such as Toucans, Wild Turkeys, Trogones and Woodpeckers; the life living in this place of many species, shadows, dimensions, and colors makes it practically impossible to describe this forest in words. This combination of high bio-diversity is the result of a natural chaos that shows in everything and can only be understood by someone who has seen and admired something similarly unforgettable. The singing of the birds, the hum of the insects, and the whisper of the breeze passing through the branches can give some the desire to break the silent and oppressive calm. It's important that visitors understand that there are possibilities of observing large amounts of wildlife, but it's not constant. You must also come prepared to discover your senses, to be marveled by every kind and expression of life, and that all this bio-diversity is what generates a natural interrelation, its what makes the Missionary Forest live as one.
