Day 1 Lima
Arrival in Lima, reception and transfer to a four star hotel
Day 2 Lima
City tour of Lima including a guided visit to the Cathedral, the Main Square and the San Francisco Catacombs
Day 3 Cusco
We fly to Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Incas. Guided tour of Cuzco including the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman
Day 4 Sacred Valley
Excursion to Urubamba, the sacred valley of the Incas and to the ancient Inca market town of Pisac.
Day 5 Machu Picchu
Train journey to Aguas Calientes and a full day's guided tour of Machu Picchu, the most spectacular ancient city in the world
Day 6 Puno
Departure by scheduled bus to Puno visiting en route Inca ruins and the remains of the Viracocha temple. We shall also visit the steaming volcanic pools by La Raya.
Day 7 Lake Titicaca
After transfer to the port we visit the reed island of Uros on lake Titicaca. Overnight stay on the island of Taquile in local Aymara Indian homes.
Day 8 Lake Titicaca
Morning on Taquile island and afternoon return to Puno
Day 9 Santiago
Return to Lima for the connecting flight to Santiago. Transfer to your hotel
Day 10 Santiago
Half day city tour of Santiago including a general view of the city from the Cerro San Cristobal viewpoint. Free afternoon
Day 11 San Pedro de Atacama
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Calama, set in the middle of the Atacama desert. Arrival and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama
Day 12 San Pedro de Atacama
San Pedro de Atacama, cradle of the Atacama Culture during the pre-Columbian period, is the centre of this tour allowing for many highlights. The Moon Valley astonishes visitors with its geological formation of salts and carbonates and where nature has shaped an astonishing landscape. Toconao stands out with its bell tower, alleys and craft workshops, whilst the Atacama salt flats shelter pink flamingoes amongst many other birds. In the middle of the Andean mountains, the El Tatio Geysers at 4,500 metres above sea level gush fumaroles at dawn.
Day 13 Calama - Santiago - Viña del mar
Return to Calama for the return flight to Santiago. Arrival and transfer to Viña del Mar, the most beautiful coastal resort in Chile
Day 14 Viña del mar
Free day at leisure
Day 15 Viña del mar
Free day at leisure
Day 16 Santiago
Return to Santiago for your return flight home.
