The trip to the amazon is full of adventure, with possibilities to find wild animals and the most attractive landscapes: The amazing macaw clay lick "collpa" in the Bahuaja-Sonene National Park and the wonderful Sandoval lake in the Tambopata - Candamo Reserved Zone.

This program includes short walks through the heart of the reserved area of Tambopata Candamo and the Bahuaja Sonene National park. In Cusco our non-trekking "Soft Adventure" is designed to maximize excitement within limited vacation time.

In Cusco, heart of the Inca Empire, we explore narrow lovely cobblestone streets, the impressive Sacsayhuaman fortress, the mysterious carved rock shrine of Kenko and the delightful Inca Baths at Tambomachay Later on, at the Sacred Valley of the Incas by the Urubamba river we visit the Native Market Pisac and the town and ceremonial site of Ollantaytambo, the only Inca village that has been continuously inhabited until our times. Finally Machu Picchu and day after flight to Lima Peru. Everything in 9 days / 8 nights.

Day 1 Flight from Lima to Puerto Maldonado

Around 4:30 in the morning transfer from your hotel to the airport. The flight to Puerto Maldonado take around 2 hours. (stop in Cusco) Greeting at the airport and transportation to the WASAI Maldonado Lodge, where you will receive a welcoming tropical fruit beverage. You will embark for a 3 to 4 1/2 hour motorboat trip up the Tambopata river to WASAI Tambopata Lodge & Research Center (box lunch on route). During the trip we will be able to observe the local farms, while groups of birds pass over the boat. Opportunity to see families of Ronsocos, the largest rodents in the world. Reception, accommodation at the lodge, and lunch. After a short rest we will have a brief introductory walk in the forest nearby to learn basic principles of ecology and hear some wildlife
Natural history. Return to the lodge for dinner.
After dinner we will make our first visit to the forest to observe the nocturnal life of insects, frogs of various colors, and an occasional encounter with nocturnal mammals. We will enjoy the diverse sounds of
The jungle which will accompany our first night in amazonia. Sleep in the lodge.

Day 2 Wasai Tambopata - Bahuaja Sonene National Park.

After breakfast hike of approximately three hours watching different types of forest.
Lunch. In the afternoon we will travel up the Tambopata River for forty minutes to the Bahuaja Sonene National Park. Camping in the Park. Search for caimans in the river at night. Sleep in tents.

Day 3 Visit to the Macaw Clay lick.

Opportunity to enjoy beautiful natural landscapes and wildlife at the bank of the river. If there is a convenient weather, we will observe one of the greatest spectacles of
Wildlife: Tens of parrots and macaws of various species, get together to have their diet of mineral salts on the clay wall. After breakfast we will walk along de river banks looking for animal footprints or by one
Of the trails of the National Park. Return to Tambopata Lodge for lunch.
After lunch we will cross the river to visit the Gato Waterfalls, where we will be able to enjoy a relaxing swim in a "natural Jacuzzi". Opportunity to fish one of the 250 species which live in the river. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 4 Wasai Tambopata - Sandoval Lake

After breakfast we will make a trip in boat to the WASAI Maldonado Lodge, in Puerto Maldonado where we will relax in our bungalows and enjoy a tasty lunch. After lunch we will leave and travel for twenty minutes on the Madre de Dios River, to the access trail to Lake Sandoval, a beautiful typical rainforest lake. 5 km hike to the banks of the lake. There we will board a canoe to paddle around the lake enjoying the beauty of the landscape and observing the wildlife, such as kingfishers, herons, hoatzins (unique pre historic looking birds), monkeys, etc. If we are lucky we could see the family of giant otters
Which live at the lake. We will have the opportunity to fish pirañas and swim in the lake. Prepare yourself for a spectacular sunset.
It is time to begin our return hike to the Madre de Dios River to return to Puerto Maldonado. There we will stay in the modern and comfortable bungalows of WASAI Maldonado Lodge. After dinner we will be able need by verdant vegetation. Rest of the night free to enjoy the night life of this welcoming city.

Day 5 Breakfast and transportation to the airport.

reakfast and transportation to the airport flight to Cusco, reception and transfer to Orquidea Real Hostal, followed by a few cups of mate de coca, whilst you iron out any questions you may have with us.

Day 6 Cusco - City Tour

At 13:45 you leave on the Cusco City Tour. This tour includes the major sites of historical interest in Cusco, such as the famous Inca fort at Sacsahuaman, and the temple of the Sun. Also included in this is a tourist card, giving you access to all the sites in the Cusco area as a whole (i.e., including outside of the City itself) This tour finishes at 18:00.( B )

Day 7 Sacred Valley Tour The Sacred Valley Tour Includes

Bus service to the market of Pisaq, visits to Calca, Urubamba, the ruins of Ollantaytambo, and the market at Chinchero.There is an English speaking guide, and lunch in a typical restaurant in Urubamba. Of course, throughout this trip you will have magnificent views of the high Peruvian Andes. At 18:39 you arrive back at the Orquidea Hostal.( B,L )

Day 8 Machu Picchu

Highlight of our trip is the visit to Machu Picchu, the legendary "Lost City of the Incas", so well hidden by the overgrowth that it was never found by the "Conquistadores", and it was rediscovered by professor Hiram in 1911. This city is one of the worlds most beautiful and important archaeological remains(B).

We leave at 7:45 am from the hotel to the station to take the train, wich will take us until Aguas Calientes , guided visit to Machu Picchu and descend to Aguas Calientes town. 16:00 return to Cusco by train.

Day 9 Transport to Airport, Flight to Lima Peru

Reception at lima airport transfer to your hotel for rest until the time of the air departure . Depending of the arrival time we have chance to make a city tour at Lima Peru.(B)
